BREAKING: The Mayor addresses the OHPD

We've been following the stories for weeks! You guys have sent in your opinions, your tips and your personal experiences. And now, we have the latest news coming to you first readers! As reported the past couple of weeks, there has been extreme backlash to the Onyx Heights Police Department. Numerous officers have been reported to be 'abusing their power' and even accused of being Rapist. The OHPD has fallen quite silent after their ambush on the local favorite bar, The Pit Stop. So, what's going on? Well, we've done the digging for you, Onyx Heights!

So, let's take you back, Readers. It was only in March of this year that Chief, Ernesto Cruz, stepped up to the plate. And we all know the chaos that followed after his appointment. Many are left asking questions. Like, why has nothing been done about the 'Surgeon'? Where was Cruz's defense for the Racial Profiling that was happening within his department, when he is of Asian descent himself? Or where is the investigation at for Rayven Fox, the Mayor's missing wife?

We know, it's frustrating to have no transparency coming from the ones meant to be protecting us. And as per usual, we reached out to the Chief of Police and received no comment back. But why is that?

Perhaps this stems back further than any of us realize. When looking at the paper trail of reports, the crime around Onyx Heights has amped up to a high of the year. And it was not until the Captain (Axel Kane) came into town like a wrecking ball that Justice was seen to happen. But many readers have asked, has Chief Cruz been downplaying the amount of crime in the city?

Allow us to take you back to just last month, while many have shared their thoughts and opinions on the measures that Captain Kane practices, there is no denying that the Harley Quinn and Co. terrorists were definitely fitting the match. But where was Chief Cruz during this ordeal? He never returned our calls, or e-mails, and rarely answered us when we have had reporters show up at the station.

Well, if the Chief of Police was looking to make any turn around soon then it seems the time has now run out. Mayor Phillip Fox has recently made a public statement at a rally just outside of the city limits. And as per usual, our elected Official seems to be rather... happy. Read here.

"When we appointed Mr. Cruz to run this department. We expected the upmost attention, commitment and progress into cleaning up the damn streets of this City. Mr. Cruz has failed this city, and all of the citizens. It is with my HONOR I am announcing that Ernesto Cruz is demoted and goes into effect imminently!"

-Mayor Phillip Fox

We know readers, our Mayor is.... an acquired taste. But in no surprise to anyone, he seemed to take pleasure into demoting the now, Former Chief. But that left many throwing out questions on what was happening? What led to this decision? Who is possibly fit enough to lead the OHPD out of this rut they have dug themselves into? Mayor Fox seemed to be happy to answer these questions himself.

"Axel Kane has shown extreme confidence, courage and commitment to our community. He will be your new Chief of Police. Since his arrival to Onyx Heights, the rate of violent crimes has dropped to a new year low. And the criminals seem to be fucking off the Isle! And whoever is responsible for my wives disappearance, will be punished accordingly"

- Mayor Phillip Fox

So, Axel Kane is the new Chief of Police. And you have heard it here first, readers. And it seems Phillip Fox has not forgotten about his long-lost Wife either! We have reached out to the new Chief and have gotten an interview with him, which you can read here.

Chronicle Editor: "Thank you for sitting down briefly with us, Capt--, Chief Kane. We will not take up too much of your time. But first we want to know how this feels?" Chief Kane: "No problem. I've never been one to worry too much about the ranking system. I am just glad to be appointed the person who can, and will, get this job done." Chronicle Editor: "There is no taking away of the progress you have made since coming to town, and it seems that the Mayor himself has also noted it. Can you give the people a brief run down so maybe they will understand why you're the most qualified?" Chief Kane: "Let's go back to the Dark Web assaults. There has been little to none that have been reported to the OHPD in recent weeks. The street drug 'O' is also losing its footing and we have found where it was being distributed. The Harley Quinn terrorist has been killed, albeit it was Suicide by Police, but they were handled with extreme importance. And the Russian Terrorist problem has not been seen again in the city."

It's hard to take away from the confidence that Chief Kane speaks with. And he does make some solid points. But the lack of expression is worrisome, for us. The man has a Poker face that even professionals would die for. But we asked the question for you, Readers, the one that everyone is wondering about. See here.

Chronicle Editor: "I see the many accolades, and in the amount of time since you have been here it is quite impressive. How do you hope to respond to all of the recent claims against those in your Department?" Chief Kane: "Against the assault and rape claims? I have already addressed this with you all last week. But I'll restate -- I can say, with confidence, that every claim being made is looked into and is being proven by science and will be dealt with. If anyone has claims against my Officers, they can email me directly."

We did not bother new Chief too much, as he seemed busy being bombarded by all the other reporting outlets as well. But you have heard it here first, Onyx Heights. And now the question remains. Do you feel safe with Axel Kane as the Chief? Or did you prefer Ernesto Cruz's approach of ignoring such crimes? Let us know down below.

Do you feel safe with Axel Kane as the Chief? Or do you prefer Ernesto Cruz's approach of ignoring crimes in the city?

Yeah, like this is actually going to do any good. Even if this new guy is going to do more than talk a good game, what happens when the criminals get an eyeful of Judge DisGrace's low-cut robes bent over the bench? How stupid do these people think we are? The whole thing stinks!
