As it was reported over the weekend, a single engine plane has crashed down off the coast of Onyx Heights. Many have been asking questions, and we have been digging for those answers. But a quick recap of events:
SUNDAY AUGUST 27th: A single engine plane crashed off the coast in the early hours of the morning. The plane was seen dumping its cargo in an effort to stay afloat. Read Sunday's post for more details.
MONDAY AUGUST 28th: Reports started to fly into us at the Chronicle that those bags were being found left and right. But no one has come forward with any exact information. According to the Onyx Heights Police Department (OHPD) there has been an influx of violence.
TUESDAY AUGUST 29th: We have BREAKING NEWS about the Crash as more bags are beginning to wash up onto the shore of the Beach. Please continue reading below.
The beach has been crowded ever since the small plane crashed into the waters. Many people have been seen attempting to dive, salvage and dig for whatever they can. The OHPD has been trying to put a stop to the findings of these bags, and Chief Axel Kane has gotten back to us with a statement.
"We are taking the threat of these unknown bags very seriously, anyone who has found one is to bring it into the OHPD for testing. We have reason to believe that these bags contain a large number of unknown drugs, weapons, and other undisclosed items. Anyone caught near the beach at this time, is trespassing in an active crime scene. The Beach is closed until Further notice. Anyone caught trespassing will be arrested and are being watched. We can now report that there was at least one casualty in this incident, a man has washed ashore in the early hours before sunrise. We can positively identify the man as Tito Ortiz. Mr. Ortiz was a long standing member of Onyx Heights. And our condolences are with his family." - Chief Axel Kane
Those of you from Onyx Heights might just recognize the name. Tito's a staple in the Onyx Heights community for its New York Style Pizza, is what the man has now left behind. If the claim by Chief Kane is true, then it is to be assumed that the local restaurant was being used as a front for an illegal drug trafficking ring. Something that will undoubtedly be hard feat to move on from.
Nonetheless, a loss for the community as we all take the time to mourn the loss of a leader. Undoubtedly it will be looking for someone to step into the role and fulfill the long legacy the Pizzeria has left behind.
So how do you guys feel about the turnout and the response from the OHPD? Have you found a duffel bag for yourself? What did your bag contain? The beach is closed for the end of Summer!? So much has happened in a short amount of time. And we want to hear your responses below.
