Please note this is a DARK sim based in a fictional realm. By no means do we agree with what characters represent here. If you are sensitive to violent, physical and sexually abusive themes, or oppressive phobic behavior and discrimination, this is not the sim for you!

Under NO circumstance do we tolerate ANY of the above on an OOC level. If harassment is happening, please report to admin imminently.

REPORT ABUSE

This is a no brainer. Absolutely no breaking Linden Labs Terms of Service. Please refer to their page if you have any questions.

Privately Own Sim

This is a privately-owned sim. All Linden Lab TOS and Community Standards apply. Remember, that this is a PRIVATELY OWNED sim, paid for by a single PRIVATE OWNER. This sim is open to the general public but Staff reserves the right to deny any applications as Staff deems necessary.

Alt Account Usage

We understand the SecondLife roleplay community is a vast community with mostly alts with the same typists. However, you may only have ONE ACTIVE CHARACTER per account. Feel free to bring your alt in and register on them to play a second character. Meaning, people may not come into the sim and use a 'titler' and change their avatar appearance. One character per account.

NOTE: Please do not metagame between your accounts. This will be a reportable offense.

Gestures & Furniture

We will not tolerate any spam usage of Gestures. And if renting, please make sure not to have furniture/decor that has sound enabled. This is a roleplay space. Respect people's immersion.

Character Creation

This is an Adult Sim with dark and sexualized themes. Meaning, we do not allow child avatars. All characters within our sim must be 18+. NO child-like avatars. Should we find out someone is a minor, they will be ejected. This is your only warning.

- Pregnancies are allowed. Babies on your personal rental is allowed. But in the 'play space' with other players, please do not break the ToS.

Your character may have "body mods" that adhere to realistic means. Such things can be and are not limited to - Elf Ears (Without movement), prosthetic body parts (No Sci-Fi themed/cybernetics), split tongues etc.

This is a modern sim. Humanoids only, no furry allowed.

If you wish to have a pet that's attached to your character, please not this pet CANNOT be combative.

You can play a realistic animal, such as a dog, alley cat, rat etc. They cannot however speak, or show any human like traits. Dogs can work within the Police Department per lead Approval. Realistic Animal characters CANNOT hide behind a Death Limit. We will not force them to die, but animal brutality can happen within our sim.

We do allow "crossover" play from other sims and storylines alike. Please note, only modern Urban applies here not Fantasy, Gor etc.

No Bloodlines.

Metagaming Powergaming God modding

We are here to create with one another. Under no circumstances will be tolerate players using information for their own benefit. If you are reported repeatedly for these offenses, it will lead to a ban.

Metagaming: When you, the player, uses information learned on an OOC (Out-of-Character) level to benefit yourself on an IC (In-Character) level.

Godmodding: When you, the player, makes your character too powerful or immune from consequences. Examples would include, avoiding your character being hurting. Noticing things, like a handgun, without having another players consent, and not posting attempts in combative scenes.

Powergaming: When you, the player, controls the actions of another character without prior consent. Or forcing yourself without the use of 'attempts'. Everything should remain open-ended with the possibility of the opposing character being able to react.

IC/OOC & Seperation

We cannot stress enough how this is meant to be FUN first and foremost for everyone. Just because someone is playing a 'bad' character does not mean that they do not like you on an OOC level. Please understand, this is a dark sim, and not everyone is going to like your character.

We will not moderate people acting like children. If you are seeking out roleplays with someone you have animosity with, you will politely be told to handle it like adults.

At the end of the day, we are all adults here. Unless rules are being broken or harassment is happening, there is not much we can do without the proper logs.

If there are serious issues within your IMs with another player, our best suggestion is reporting them to Linden Labs. Petty IMs here are not reportable.

Etiquette

We expect everyone to follow Post Orders (PO) when entering a scene. If your character is approaching a scene and expects to get involve you MUST wait an entire post round before getting involved. We enforce this so your can see exactly what is going on. If you plan to go to a bar, and the door is being blocked by another avatar, wait and see why that might be happening.

We require third person roleplay at this sim. Please follow this strictly. If you, and your partner, prefer to post at one another in the first person take it to IMs.

We ask everyone to post with an Emote (/me) in their posts.

Please avoid using thought emotes that would require consequence. No one wants to read about how you were all over Tom's dick last night but Tom's girlfriend Lisa can never know about it. If you will not say it In-Character, do not think it. Breaking this rule will result in an warning, repeat offences will resort in a ban.

Please stay within this sims theme. If your character wants to believe they are a vampire, and drink human blood, that is fine. But understand, it will be classified as a mental disorder and most will think they are mentally insane.

In-Character Actions (ICA) will always lead to In-Character Consequences (ICC). If someone constantly avoids their consequences, or god mods their way out of it -- Admin will step in. Never shy away from calling a Staff member to the scene. This is not to be seen as a bad thing, sometimes another set of eyes insures everything is being played fairly.

Consent & Limits

This is a dark sim. When joining our community, you are agreeing to the dark nature of things that happen in our world. With that being said, we cannot stress enough how important it is to get consent from your writing partners. Consent, consent, consent! A simple IM goes a long way to make sure the scene is going fluidly.

Everyone is entitled to their own limits. But we do ask, do not hide behind them! If Billy Joe has a gun pointed to your characters noggin, and you're acting as if nothing is happening and it's a normal day because Billy Joe cannot shoot you due to your limit --- it will be seen as a form of God Modding. And is reportable.

Reporting

If you ever feel like you need to report something, please do. We cannot moderate what we do not know. Any and all reports stay between the staff members. Violations of this, will result in a ban.

Only report once you feel like all other forms of communication have failed you. Always try and reconcile things together like adults, first. A lot of the time, we understand lots gets lost in translation. Text has no tone, after all!

Before filing a report, make sure you have the proper logs to prove rules of our sim have been broken. Reports may take up to 48 hours to be processed.

Observers

If you are simply observing the sim, or a scene, please make sure to wear the appropriate OOC tag! Whether it is one from our sim directly, or another! This is to make sure others know not to wait for you to join in a post order.

Observers deserve the same respect as a normal player. Any bullying will not be tolerated, this is the only warning!

Basic Combat Etiquette

There are NO meters used for combat.
Dice are optional. Otherwise, this is free form!

If you feel like no resolution is coming of your scene, please reach out to a Community Lead to GM the scene.

Do not come into a combative scene with a gun already pulled out. This is reportable and multiple warnings will result in gun usage for your character being revoked. Even more, will result in a ban.

Wait at minimum a FULL post round to make sure your character is assessing the situation correctly. Infractions of this, is also reportable.

Groups & Tags

When you're active within the sim, please make sure your tags indicate you're an accepted member of our community! In character tags are required to roleplay. If you're not in character please make sure you're wearing your observer or OOC tag.

While working at a Sim Business, make sure you also wear the tag to indicate the job position your character has.

The OOC tag is NOT required to roleplay at our sim, it is there to create a strong community where all can converse and come together. Abuse is not tolerated in this chat, please be respectful to all players and staff. It is always moderated.

We polietly ask to keep storyline chatter within the OOC chats to a minimum.

We understand that you are excited for your stories, and we are too! But some players enjoy a nice surprise or learning such things naturally in character. If talking about a storyline plot, please move that conversation to IMs

Vehicles

We allow people to use their own vehicles at this current moment, as prims allow. Only people that are renters & in the land group may rez their cars out. We ask that you are courteous and remain under 50 prims. Any vehicle that is over that limit may be subject to return without warning.

If you are using your personal vehicle, please pick them up and do not leave them scattered around the sim. The only way you can leave them rezzed out, is if you have extra prim allowance. Those not in compliance will see their vehicles returned regularly.
